Students For Liberty Acquires Learn Liberty from the Institute for Humane Studies

ARLINGTON, Va. — Students For Liberty (SFL), a rapidly growing network of pro-liberty students that ran 1,482 events with 65,180 people last year alone, just acquired the Institute for Humane Studies’ (IHS) Learn Liberty platform.

Learn Liberty is a video channel that explores big questions about what makes humanity flourish, and how individuals can improve the world. The educational videos feature experts in different fields, who discuss big ideas in a conversational, and actionable way.

CEO of Students For Liberty, Dr. Wolf von Laer, notes:

“Learn Liberty provides an exciting opportunity for Students For Liberty and specifically, SFL Academy, our online learning platform. The additional capabilities will strengthen our work at home and abroad, and this acquisition supports our plans to use digital media to meet the increasing demand for our education and training services."

IHS Executive Director Chad Thevenot notes: “Learn Liberty is a powerful platform that will help Students For Liberty reach millions of people with the ideas in the classical liberal intellectual tradition. SFL is the ideal steward, as they are uniquely positioned, capable, and committed to growing Learn Liberty in the spirit with which it was created.”

Although SFL will maintain Learn Liberty’s brand, website, Facebook, and YouTube channel, the platform will be taking a new direction that will allow for innovative content to engage SFL's growing international audience.
