Freer Future Fest in Nashville: To Bring Together Liberty Enthusiasts Across the Globe

Students For Liberty will host an annual festival to highlight the ideas of a free society in the areas of philosophy, economics, and law

Nashville, TN, July 1, 2021 — Students For Liberty, the biggest international pro-liberty student organization, today announced it will be hosting its new annual festival, Freer Future Fest, on October 9, 2021, at First Horizon Park, a baseball stadium in Nashville, TN.

Students For Liberty is bringing together some of the most respectable and well-known speakers and activists in the liberty movement from around the globe to discuss the philosophy of liberty and host an open discussion with students across the ideological spectrum.

“We can show the beauty of our ideas by writing articles in campus newspapers that argue why free expression matters. We can show it by talking respectfully to people who disagree with us, and by organizing events and inviting folks from opposing viewpoints to be a part of them! In the light of rising populism, socialism, and nationalism, we need to get out there and show that our ideals of peace, love, and liberty are the antithesis of hate, fear, and big government! This is what we will be celebrating at Freer Future Fest,” says Dr. Wolf von Laer, CEO of SFL.

Announced speakers of the festival are the Fiverr Millionaire Alexandra Fasulo, Gloria Alvarez, and Andrew Heaton. Guests can expect sessions covering freedom of speech, entrepreneurship, technology, and artistic freedoms; attend a comedy stand-up show, hear live music, engage in the discussion at the issue tents, and have fun.

“If we start telling young people that they are valuable because they are individuals and they have three rights: to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and private property, then the clash between different socialist and conservative groups would actually dissolve. In my job, what I try to do on the radio, in the books, and at conferences is to explain the populist deceit in Latin America and in the world; this is what we need to do at the Freer Future Fest in Nashville,” says Gloria Alvarez, freedom fighter from Guatemala.

This festival is a great place for students and professionals to find networking opportunities, reconnect with fellow liberty advocates, and meet the next generation of liberty activists.

“Freer Future Fest isn’t just a conference, it’s an experience. With 1,200+ attendees from business, tech, academia, marketing, and more, the networking opportunities are endless,” says Magnús Örn Gunnarsson, Freer Future Fest managing director.

Freer Future Fest is open to the public and members of the media can register for free. If you would like to cover the event, please direct any questions to jkril@studentsforliberty.org or mgogolishvili@studentsforliberty.org.

On-site media registration will be available, space permitting. Students For Liberty reserves the right to withhold press credentials from applicants and to revoke those credentials before or during the event.
